BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Raised in Toronto, Lynda completed both her Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees at the University of Guelph and taught in the University’s Consumer Studies department with an emphasis in foods, for five years before returning to school to earn her CA designation. She retired in May 2012 after working as a Senior Audit and Assurance Partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP for over 33 years.
Lynda was the recipient of several awards including The International Alliance for Women Award, the Canadian Women of Influence Award, the Lynda Bowles Spirit Award Winner and the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Business.
She completed the Canadian Board Diversity Council Advanced Board Director Education Program and is an active board member. She is also an active volunteer with the Canadian Executive Services Association and has travelled to the Artic and to the North West Territories to provide seminars and workshops to Inuit and First Nations organizations. The seminars dealt with effective governance methods and with the understanding of financial statements.
